So many distractions.

Today I have tried to do some productive things, and I have failed. I am bad. And I have tried, for three days to upload a polyvore to my blog. It's not working. So here is the link, please look at it, because it took me a really long time to do!

No school today!

Happy Veteran's Day everyone! Thank you to all the veteran that serve our wonderful country! I had no school today, so my family and I went to the mall. I bought the lovely Shea Cashmere lotion from Bath&Body Works, it keeps my hand so soft in the winter. After that I worked on my senior board for my marching band banquet tomorrow. And of course, Harry Potter weekend is happening right at this moment :) This was a much needed day off:

The Fashion Citizen!

Hello, mini break from never ending bio homework and prelabs. I just wanted to take the time to show everyone my favorite youtubers! I used to never watch youtube videos, but my sister and cousin introduced me to the fashion side of youtube! Now I can't get enough. The Fashion Citizen girls are such great advice givers when it comes to fashion and their videos. I wish that I had the skills they do of picking out gems at thrift stores!

Terra Nova and editing essays.

Helloo there!
I really really like this show Terra Nova. It's a great show and I need to watch it more. Regarding my last post. I HAVE APPLIED TO 5 COLLEGES. My nails look gross and my hair is repulsive, but hey I'm a college applicant! :) The 1st marking period of school is over friday. WOOOT.30 weeks left of senior year. I really hope that my grades are decent. I'm only worried about Spanish. Anywho check out these awesome earrings! They were from a little store in my town. The greatest place ever. :)

English is far more important than writing this, although i wish it wasn't.

i'm listening to Christmas music.

But only because it's the new She&Him album. SO, haven't blogged in a million years. That's what happens when I take 4 AP classes and apply to college. But on the bright side, tomorrow I should be sending off my first 3 applications. :) That brings me so much joy. It's been a rough past few weeks trying to get all these silly college things taken care of. I also had to write 18 logs for English this week, we are reading personal narratives. Marching Band regular season finishes up on Sunday! I'm so excited for our show! Anyhow, this a blog post to swear to myself and anyone who reads this. I will blog. OFTEN.

until next time,
MT

this always cheers up my stressed out self.

i like reading.

Hello, hope all is well!
Summer vaction is coming to a close, how exciting. I'm a senior this year, the big girl in town. I just finished my summer reading/ writing for AP English last week when it was due, and I thought I would share my own personal summer reading list, which is wayyyy better than the one assigned to me. (Don't worry, I read all the boring books too.)

Books!
1. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larson
2. Smashed by Koren Zailckas
3. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
4. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

Those titles were some of my favorites, but for sure not all of the books I read this summer.

best night ever.

Hello! Quick post, and then it's back to college applications and research.
Yesterday, I went to the Gavin DeGraw, Train, and Maroon 5 concert at my State Fair. OH my goodness, it was amazing. Train is one of my favorite bands and they were so fantastic I just about cried. The show was outstanding, and I danced and sang my life away. It was the perfect definition of summer. Ahh. I made a playlist of all the songs they sang so I can come back to it in the winter and reminisce. Now, listen to these and tell me you don't want to smile.

saturdays

Hi to you lovely people! I hope you had a great week. Week 1 of band camp is officially over and I am extremely happy to say it was a success. Of course we got yelled at multiple times, did far to many push ups and listened to a fantastic story about Tinkerbell (twice) but we also learned half of our show! It's coming along quite swimmingly. Also in the news, I got a Christmas gift (I'm aware, its January) from family friends and It is wonderful! It's a Vera Bradley "Taxi Wallet" and its about everything a teenage girl could ask for in a small wallet. Saturdays are one of the two days I don't have band in the summer, so I worked 8-2, went to the thrift store for 15 minutes and then came home expecting to go to my boyfriends house. Unfortunately, plans don't always work out around here, so I stayed home and studied for ACTS and (wait for it, wait for it) cleaned my closet! Two hours later it looks great, and I even got a " Great use of time" from my momma :). It is all organized and fancy, which is quite opposite of my personality, so I can only imagine how long it will remain like this. Then I decided to work on my AP English homework and update my blog and Tumblr. So here I am. I will blog again shortly!

major slacking.

HELLO, I am so busy it is crazy. Two weeks ago I made a crazy trip to Boston and visited 9 colleges. It was lovely. And then I worked everyday the next week, and I also had marching band everyday. Tomorrow starts Band Camp, the most wonderful two weeks of summer. Sarcasm, if you can't tell. It's gonna be a party. I also will have to work in between 3 hour practices and write a letter to my AP English teacher, fill out a college application, write an essay, and get a parking pass for school. This is really just a Landry list for my own use. Also, memorize marching band music. WOOOOT. so I will leave you with the wonders of Foster the People. Good day to you.

Flipped!

Hello all, I hope you are having a great day!
Right now I am watching Flipped for the first time. I LOVE IT. The actors and the actresses are amazing. I read the book when I was in 9th grade, and it was my favorite. The best part is that it alternates point of view, which is great in a little love story. Bryce and Juliana hate each other but then grew to love each other. This movie is so cute. I almost just started crying. I need help. The grandfather is my favorite character. Wow, that movie ended far to quickly. I wish I had more plaid shirts, that's what they wore a lot in that movie. Ah. I will leave you with a preview and quote. Night friends <3
Some of us get dipped in flat, some in satin, some in gloss; but every once in a while, you find someone who's iridescent, and once you do, nothing will ever compare.

My day, has been made.

I was just reading the post on SparkLife. Which rocks, by the way. Sparknotes is for so much more than just cramming when you don't do your English reading. But, there was a post by a writer who blogs books she likes. The book is called Dear Mr. Potter. You guessed it, its about the only and only Harry James Potter. SO GOOD. It's a collection of letters written by fans to Harry, the other amazing characters, and J.K. I got even more excited when I discovered, IT'S A WEBSITE TOO! I proceeded to go on the website and read all the post. This is brilliant. I love websites with stories and letters, and I love Harry. The two together is the next best invention since facebook. I'm going to write a letter, but not right now. Because I have to pack and clean and do other things that are not of my particular liking.

Today.

Today, was hot. And that is an understatement. Emily's phone says that it fells like 110 degrees, and I believe it. I am so so lucky to be sitting in my room with my laptop, music, Arnold palmer and air conditioning. But I was not so lucky all day, because I worked from 8 to 2. Rough stuff, real rough stuff. We had to go to the gas station to buy ice to eat and hold. I work in a farm stand, where there is vegetables and fruits, and no air conditioning. I have to say, this is the first time I have been happy to leave work. I got subway for lunch, and it was delicious. More later, perhaps.

TLC

So, today I came home from work and watched TV with my sister. I love these nights. She thinks I'm strange, she just told me herself. I am okay with that. Anywho, I offically think TLC is the oddest channel ever. Some of the shows just freak me out. Like the one where they spray tan 5 year olds. Awful. And the show where people are addicted to things like eating drywall. It's very sad. I do love the shows with the little people, they are so touching :) I really miss Jon and Kate + 8. I wonder what happened to it. Ah the little person is going to the spa, she is lovely. I want to go to a spa. Okay, done talking.

ah blog!

hello, MT here. Not quite sure why, but I am here. I'm also not exactly sure what I am going to do with this blog I can call my own, but I can already tell that I love typing into this box and clicking "publish post" So, I'm MT and this is fun. tooodles. :)
